Dale United Methodist Church
Pastor: Rev. Jacqueline Ford
~~Pastor Jacqueline Davis Ford is one of six siblings born and reared
in Baltimore, Maryland. She was brought up in a Christian home and accepted Christ as her savior at the age of eight. They held in-home family Bible studies, had family prayer and attended church faithfully. She learned to evangelize at a young age. Her paternal and maternal grandmothers and elder brother had a great influence on her spiritual growth and development. God brought a female minister into her life during her teen-age years and she was Pastor Ford’s first spiritual mentor. Pastor Ford was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church for more than thirty years and served in various ministries including: Sunday school teacher, member of the United Methodist Women, member of the PPRC, choir member, Chair of Worship, Sunday school Superintendent, Safe Sanctuary Chair, and Director of Vacation Bible School. She was a Certified Lay Servant for more than eleven years. God called her to seminary in 2005, and to ordained ministry in 2012. By the grace of God, she graduated from Palmer Theological Seminary in May 2014 with a Master of Divinity. In July 2014, she was appointed Pastor to Dale United Methodist Church in Middletown, DE and Lee Haven United Methodist Church in Townsend, DE. Pastor Ford is a chemist by trade with a Master in Business Administration. Over the years, she worked in and managed analytical labs, worked as a technical applications and product development chemist. She is currently employed as a Sales and Marketing Manager for a chemical company, traveling domestically and internationally, for more than twenty-five years. Pastor Ford has been married to Paul, her Christian husband, for more than thirty-four years. They have a blended family of five children and nineteen grandchildren. She is thankful and gives all honor to God for ordering her steps and guiding her into ministry. She is humbled to be called by God, to work in the vineyard for the building of God’s kingdom and to pastor God’s people. Pastor Ford takes delight in serving God and God’s people because, “…the joy of the Lord is my strength,” (Nehemiah 8:10).
